First Baguio Blog Conference (Behind the Scenes)

Conferences and seminars aren’t my thing. I hate the fact that I always go to the venue early, wait forever for the event to start, sit for hours listening to speakers. 

That’s my downside of such things I attend to. The upside? People I know who also attend the conference. They’re, sometimes most of the times, the reason why such talks are the enjoyable!

Not that I’m saying that the First Baguio Blog Conference was a total bore. It was good for a first such conference in the city. 

Gracing the event were Manila bloggers with the help of Mr. Vince Tabor who organized the event. 

This is a post not about the event itself but what really happened to my friends and I while we were in the front row, listening, writing and doodling while the speakers were up on the podium. Oh, and tweeting.

If the conference were a class, man, Junix, James and I would have been the students to be asked to stand up for talking to our seatmates and not paying attention. Seriously. We were giggling, whispering, tweeting, texting, and laughing. 

We’ve got freebies that made us laugh, like say, the free medicine that was included in our kits, a pen that didn’t write and a notepad. Kinda disappointed with the free load though, it’s for Smart network users, and we’re all globe users. It was a bummer! Plus, the raffle thing! Goodness, during the first raffle, we were all laughing about the possibility of getting picked just to receive a free sim card plus Php300 worth of load, and guess who got that first?! I did! Hahaha, t’was funny, really. I got another Php300 worth of load during the last part because of answering questions right, and a voucher for free web hosting at Solid Web Hosting, which I gave to James. 

But the best part of the conference? Tweeting with James and Junix, tweeting each other even though we’re just sitting together! 

Conferences does have it perks, eh? New friends, new experiences, new stories.

Today is my day~

According to Valerie, today is my day.

From the conversation that made me all warm and fuzzy inside during lunch time (which I will be posting later), to seeing the same guy again after class because Val and I had to grab a cuppa hot choco.

He designed the chocolate drink. Yup. I’m not sure if my followers know him but yeah.. He’s my favourite barista in Starbucks. I always look forward to seeing him (most of the time, I do see him) whenever I/we visit SB.

Warm fuzzy butterflies in my tummy even after more than six hours. Hahahaha
